Still on the tropical subject, I love the Green on these shelves. Imagine having shelves this high in a pantry space.....life would be good indeed!
I'm revamping our master bedroom. So far I'm really inspired by the Island living style. I'm looking for a fresh tropical feel, crisp white linen with an 'African Colonial kick'...hope I pull it off....... I'll keep you guys posted.

.........a cutting from you magazine I came across in my files today. Do you know what age my little box of shelves might be?
The other day I had a delightful surprise at the dump,when I went to dispose of our garden cuttings.Across from where I was parked I noticed a wooden box in the wooden furniture skip . See here is the thing ,when you are a seasoned dumpster diver like me you know when you're on to something. Your heart starts racing,your breathing goes a little faster, eyes transfixed on object....I mean this box was tilted on it's side and upside down , But I KNEW, I KNEW I was on to something good! upon approaching it I realized just how much of a yummy little find it was, but recognizing the Dumpster rules-" Due to health and safety regulations(?) removal of any items from the dump is strictly prohibited" -I was out of that place like a little road runner!
Got home and SQUEALED with delight when a saw the sectioned draws........
Reminded me of these I saw at Barn house the other day......
I have no idea what age it is ,or what it was used for, but I'm getting some cheeky ideas for the dressing room.
Serenity is a quality too often lacking in our fast -track lives.........and while most of us turn to clean, white interiors for relaxation, I am drawn to colour and so far no-one carries that off for me like Miv watts.
Her eye for colour is indisputable..her bravery to mix different tones,admirable.
Who would think of a pink kitchen?(loving the cabinate doors)
